Ukraine celebrated the 28th anniversary of its independence with a reception hosted by Andrii Sybiha, Ambassador of Ukraine to Ankara. Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan, representatives of other Foreign Missions in Ankara, military attachés, bureaucrats, academicians, press members and guests attended the reception held at the Ankara Sheraton Hotel.
In their speech Ambassador Sybiha and Minister Pekcan, both emphasized that the two countries, especially in the commercial field has versatile cooperation and a rooted friendship. After the speeches, the duo cut the cake prepared for the reception. The evening continued with the performance by the Ukrainian band B&B Project that performed the popular songs with the traditional Ukrainian instruments ‘Bandura’ and accordion-like ‘Bayan’.
