Those wishing to attend these parties begin lining up as early as the morning. Young people say these parties are more enjoyable, affordable, and safer.

Starting in cities like Los Angeles and London, and later spreading to Turkey, ‘Morning Parties’ have become quite popular in Ankara lately. Fun-loving individuals gather to make a dynamic start to their day, enjoying DJ music with coffee, without any alcohol. These parties, which have a higher energy than nighttime entertainment, attract running groups after their morning workout or those who prefer not to consume alcohol. Young people say these parties are more fun, affordable, and safer.
ALCOHOL SLOWS DOWN, COFFEE SPEEDS UP
Uğur Asilsoy, the owner of a coffee shop hosting the morning parties, explained that this concept first emerged in the United States and later became very popular in Europe. Asilsoy said, “The concept is about healthy products, music, and coffee. People can have fun without alcohol or smoking. Everyone behaves and feels more energetic. Alcohol slows people down, but coffee speeds them up. As a result, people have more fun and feel more energized.”
MORE SECURE THAN NIGHT PARTIES
Aybala Kocayanak, who attended a morning party for the first time, shared that these parties are more enjoyable. She added that daytime entertainment is safer compared to nighttime, stating, “It’s not a deciding factor for me, but for someone who thinks about it, yes, I believe it’s safer.”
HAVING FUN WITH COFFEE
Doğukan Gülhan, who attended this party for the second time, shared his thoughts on why these parties have become so popular: “It’s enjoyable. It gets even better with the energy of the morning. Everyone has the same energy. In the morning, everyone feels more motivated and refreshed as they start their day. People running, doing activities and sports in the morning also join these parties after their activities. Also, there’s a sense of security here that you don’t have at evening or night parties. There’s comfort here. Therefore, people aren’t anxious and they’re enjoying themselves. And it’s economical. You can have fun just by drinking coffee. There’s no need for too many details to have fun, but it’s clear that people need to have fun. Coffee, in a way, becomes just an excuse for it.”
