embassy’s interaction with Ankara and the legacy of Turkish artists, saying: “Today is the ideal framework to bring together our working partners in our cooperation with Turkey in the fields of education and culture. This cooperation through education, French language learning, inter-university exchanges and cultural projects is a strong pillar of our bilateral relationship.”

SUNKEN BOATS

The installation work titled ‘Wreck’ by France-based artist Mehmet Ali Uysal was also unveiled at the event. Uysal said about his work placed in the embassy garden: “Sunken is a continuation of my previous works in France. I made one of the most famous stores in Paris as if it was flooded. What you see here are sunken boats. Although it refers to environmental issues such as the climate crisis, my work here has references to childhood and time collage. I think especially children will enjoy it very much.”
