The 66th anniversary of Malaysia’s independence was celebrated with a reception held at the Sheraton Hotel.

The reception hosted by Malaysian Ambassador to Ankara Sazali Bin Mustafa Kamal was attended by Yaşar Güler, Minister of National Defense, General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Commander of the Air Force, as well as many ambassadors and guests.
In his speech here, 
Minister Güler said: “Malaysia has become a country that has developed and strengthened in every field in recent years, especially with its historical and cultural diversity and its effectiveness in the economic field. As Turkey, we are very pleased with this development of Malaysia, with which we have deep-rooted historical and cultural relations.” Ambassador Kamal also emphasized the relations between the two countries. Following the speeches, Minister Yaşar Güler and Ambassador Sazali Bin Mustafa Kamal cut the national day cake.
