Swiss Composer’s Special Composition for 100th Anniversary

Dedicated by Switzerland in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye and composed by the famous Swiss musician François Lindemann, the first performance of the work was held at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) ADA Ankara Main Hall. The concert started with Lindemann’s solo piano recital. Then world-renowned Turkish musician Okay Temiz on percussion, Volkan Topakoğlu on bass, Cyril Regamey on drums, on trumpet, Jean-Jacques Pedretti and Robert Morgenthaler on alphorn accompanied Lindemann. In the last part of the concert, the Presidential Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Cemi’i Can Deliorman took the stage. Speaking at the press conference before the concert, Swiss Ambassador to Ankara Daniel Ruch said that the relations between Turkiye and Switzerland gained momentum with the establishment of the Republic. Ruch stated that this work was composed for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye to crown the friendship between the two countries.

Okay Temiz performed on percussion for the Ankara audience.
