To celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Türkiye, the “The Beauty of Indonesia” photography exhibition has opened for art lovers in Ankara. Hosted at the Türkiye Photography Art Federation (TFSF) Gallery, the exhibition highlights Indonesia’s stunning nature and rich culture.

The event is organized by the Embassy of Indonesia in Ankara, in partnership with the Türkiye Photography Art Federation (TFSF) and the Federation of Indonesian Photography Societies (FPSI). Ambassador of Indonesia to Türkiye, Achmad Rizal Purnama, officially inaugurated the exhibition, which attracted many diplomats and art enthusiasts.
A BRIDGE OF FRIENDSHIP
Ambassador Purnama highlighted the strong ties between Indonesia and Türkiye in his speech. “This is the second exhibition in a series. The first, ‘The Beauty of Türkiye,’ was held in Indonesia last January. These events strengthen our friendship,” he said.
THE POWER OF ART
“This exhibition is not just about photographs. It is a bridge of friendship between our countries,” Purnama stated. “Art connects people beyond borders. It creates understanding, builds dialogue, and brings hearts together. That’s why we should never underestimate its power.”
INDONESIA’S BEAUTY IS IN ITS PEOPLE
The exhibition displays 68 striking photographs, showcasing Indonesia’s volcanoes, waterfalls, tropical forests, and vibrant traditions. “Indonesia’s beauty is not only in its landscapes but also in its people. Our traditional clothing, energetic dances, and rich culture are all part of this exhibition,” Purnama said. He also emphasized that the exhibition promotes tolerance and unity in a world facing growing divisions.
The Ambassador concluded with a heartfelt message: “While the world fears differences, we embrace diversity. In times of conflict, we stand for unity. Against rising xenophobia and Islamophobia, we promote tolerance. These values connect Indonesia and Türkiye.”
The exhibition is open until March 30, 2025, at the TFSF Gallery in Kızılay. Everyone is welcome to explore the beauty of Indonesia!
