A selection of paintings from the “Dream Melodies Painting Competition,” organized by the Foundation for Empowering Young Talents (EMART) and Anadolu University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, is now on display at the French Cultural Center for art enthusiasts to enjoy.
The competition, open to undergraduate and graduate-level young talents from Fine Arts and Education Faculties across Türkiye, aims to enhance the visibility of art students and raise awareness of classical music and opera.
THIS YEAR’S THEME: CARMEN
The theme of this year’s competition was the iconic opera Carmen by French composer Georges Bizet. The dramatic story, strong characters, and emotional depth of Carmen were transformed into visual art through the creative expressions of young artists using various mediums. Featuring universal themes like love, passion, freedom, and tragedy, this opera provided a rich source of inspiration for the participating artists.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors at the French Cultural Center until January 29.
