“The immense potential of our partnership presents a critical opportunity to benefit our peoples in key areas. In trade, we aim to create jobs, foster innovation, and enhance shared prosperity. In defense, we are committed to strengthening our industries to safeguard peace and stability in our regions. In energy, our goal is to collaborate on clean energy projects to support sustainable growth. Furthermore, we aspire to elevate the quality of life through improved healthcare systems and establish a solid foundation for long-term development through infrastructure projects.”

A BRIGHTER FUTURE AHEAD

“We are here today not merely to reflect on the past or evaluate the present but to lay the groundwork for a brighter future, a future we will shape together. In the next 25 years, in a vastly different world, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our partnership. As both Indonesia and Türkiye continue to rise as global powers, we recognize that our responsibilities extend beyond our national borders. Our shared values will enable us to make a meaningful impact on the global stage,” Purnama stated.

NUMEROUS EVENTS PLANNED

Ambassador Purnama announced that the year 2025 would mark a milestone for the partnership, hosting numerous initiatives to further strengthen ties. Key events include optimizing the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council led by the presidents of both nations, deepening connections through inter-parliamentary friendship groups, and publishing a White Paper titled “100 Years of Indonesia-Türkiye Relations and Future Opportunities.” Additionally, cultural events such as “Indonesia Day,” film festivals, and culinary showcases will highlight the cultural dimensions of this friendship.

“We are proud to unveil the official logo and slogan for this historic anniversary. The logo, designed by an Indonesian student in Türkiye, symbolizes the closeness of our nations, transcending physical distances. The slogan, ‘Partnership for the People, Partnership for the New World,’ reflects our commitment to delivering tangible benefits to our citizens and contributing to a fairer, more prosperous global order,” he concluded.
