BOLLYWOOD ON THE SILVER SCREEN

One of Bollywood’s most famous films, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (Life Only Happens Once), was presented to cinema enthusiasts by the Embassy of India.

The film was screened with Turkish dubbing and English subtitles at Çankaya Municipality Yaşar Kemal Cultural Center. Members of the diplomatic community, journalists, youth, and numerous Bollywood fans attended the event.

A SPECIAL BOND

Muktesh K. Pardeshi, Ambassador of India, who hosted the event, emphasized that India has been engaging with the world through cinema for many years. Ambassador Pardeshi noted that Bollywood films, particularly classics like Awara and works by Indian actor Aamir Khan, are widely popular in Türkiye. He underlined that events like these create a unique bond between the peoples of India and Türkiye, adding that the Embassy will continue to expand its Public Diplomacy efforts through such initiatives.

A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film features celebrated actors such as Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin. The story revolves around three friends embarking on an adventurous trip as part of a bachelor party. During their journey, they uncover truths about themselves and each other, leading to transformative experiences that change their lives forever.
