NEW HONORARY CONSULS ASSUME THEIR DUTIES

A formal ceremony was held at the Embassy of Indonesia to mark the appointments of Alper Özbilen as the Honorary Consul for Antalya and İbrahim Çavga as the Honorary Consul for Hatay.

HOSTED by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Türkiye, Achmad Rizal Purnama, the event saw the participation of prominent figures, including members of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, İbrahim Yurdunuseven and Osman Sağlam, ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions, officials from Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and key business leaders.

STRENGTHENING BILATERAL TIES

In his address, Ambassador Purnama underscored the pivotal role of Honorary Consuls in fostering stronger relations between Indonesia and Turkey. “Our Honorary Consuls play an essential role in further expanding and deepening the robust foundation of cooperation shared by Indonesia and Turkey,” he remarked.

A VISION FOR GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP

The ambassador also highlighted the historic importance of the upcoming 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations in 2025. Looking ahead to the centennial milestone in 2050, Ambassador Purnama expressed confidence that both countries would emerge as key leaders among global power centers and the Global South. He further emphasized that the Indonesia-Turkey partnership would transcend bilateral collaboration, contributing to the creation of a more balanced, equitable, and harmonious global order.
