EUROPEAN VOICES PERFORMED IN THREE DIFFERENT CITIES

The third edition of the Sound of Europe Festival, organized by the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) İstanbul and Ankara clusters and supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe Program, in collaboration with the Kadıköy Municipality, Çankaya Municipality and İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, has come to an end.

AS part of the Festival, nearly 9,000 people attended more than 25 concerts performed by over 50 local and international artists across three different cities. This year’s Sound of Europe Festival, which took place for the third time, brought music lovers together on September 14 and 15 at İstanbul’s Kalamış Atatürk Park, Ankara’s Çankaya Ahlatlıbel Atatürk Park and İzmir’s Bostanlı Observation Terrace.

A BROAD RANGE OF GENRES

The festival, which featured a broad range of genres from jazz to rock, hip hop and rap to solo piano, and electronic music, attracted significant attention from music enthusiasts. Audiences in the three major cities enjoyed performances by more than 50 local and international artists, including Senza, who brought the Mediterranean spirit to the stage with their songs, especially from Portugal; Zuzanna, who combines folk-influenced melodies with personal lyrics and stories; Gaidaa, a rising star in R&B and soul; Mezzotono, the Italian acapella group who performed as if conversing with the audience; and 7th Sense, with their repertoire spanning from soul and nu-jazz to electronic and world music.
