COLORFUL SCENES AT THE INDONESIAN FESTIVAL

As part of the independence celebrations, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Ankara organized the ‘Indonesian Festival.’ The festival featured mini concerts, dance performances, and showcased local Indonesian products at various stands.

THE event was hosted by the Indonesian Ambassador to Ankara, Achmad Rizal Purnama, at the Indonesian Embassy in Oran. More than 1,500 visitors attended the festival, including Indonesians living in different regions of Turkey, as well as Turkish citizens. In his opening speech, Ambassador Achmad Rizal Purnama emphasized that 79 years had passed since Indonesia gained its independence. The Ambassador expressed that the country aims to become a developed nation by 2045 under the vision of “Golden Indonesia” and contribute more to shaping a world order based on justice and prosperity.

CULTURAL PERFORMANCES

The festival featured sports competitions, mini games, a marketplace offering delicacies from Indonesian cuisine, and cultural performances by Indonesian student associations from cities like Ankara, İstanbul, Sakarya, Sivas, and Kütahya. Additionally, famous singer Eka Alexis, who was directly invited from Indonesia, performed at the event. Turkish singers such as Pelin Aslı, Erdem and Kürşat, who had previously participated in a singing competition in Indonesia, also performed Indonesian songs during the event.
