The 208th anniversary of Argentina’s independence was celebrated with a reception. Hosted by Argentina’s Ambassador to Ankara, Patricia Beatriz Salas, and her husband Nelson Espada, the event took place at the embassy.
THE reception was attended by numerous ambassadors and guests, including the Director General for Latin America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yaprak Balkan. In her speech, Salas touched upon the relationship between Turkey and Argentina. Salas said, “When it comes to human relations, let me express my satisfaction with the warmth and closeness experienced by everyone from Argentina who has come here. Each of you is an example of how important friendship and understanding are in developing a harmonious and lasting relationship.” Yaprak Balkan also stated, “With the legacy of almost a century of friendship and cooperation, we are determined to further deepen our strong ties with Argentina, especially in the fields of trade, technology, energy, defense, and culture.”
